😁I initially made this dish to use up pandan leaves. Surprisingly, the finished product turned out quite well. It was especially fragrant during the stewing process, attracting the attention of the shop owner next door. ⚠️Try not to buy pork belly that's too fatty, as it can be greasy.

Steps for making "Pandan Pork Belly", a light and flavorful dish that goes well with rice

Prepare the necessary ingredients

Cut the pork belly into chunks (any size), add appropriate amounts of light soy sauce, dark soy sauce, oyster sauce, and salt, and marinate for 30 minutes.

Wrap the marinated pork belly in pandan leaves and tie it with twine. ☝🏻 Tie it as shown in the picture, making sure the pork belly and pandan leaves don't separate.

Pour some cooking oil into a pot, add rock sugar, and stir-fry over low heat until the sugar melts.

Next, add the pork belly, dried chili peppers, star anise, bay leaves, cinnamon, scallions, and a little salt.

Add appropriate amounts of light soy sauce, dark soy sauce, salt, and enough water to cover the ingredients.

Bring to a boil over high heat, then reduce to a simmer and cook until the sauce thickens (usually 20-30 minutes). Stir occasionally to prevent burning.

The "Pandan Leaf Pork Belly" has a grassy aroma. The stewed pork belly isn't too greasy.
