Chicken Leg and Chicken Feet Stew Recipe Steps

Cut chicken drumsticks and feet into small pieces, blanch them in boiling water with cooking wine and ginger, then remove them. I was a bit rushed and didn't remove the nails from the chicken feet, but you can remove them if you have more time.

Prepare onions, garlic, Sichuan peppercorns, star anise, dried chilies, and bird's eye chilies (the bird's eye chilies here are a little too dry; I couldn't find Korean chili paste at the supermarket, but you can substitute bird's eye chilies if you have chili paste).

Prepare the sauce: salt, light soy sauce, dark soy sauce, oyster sauce, chicken bouillon powder, white pepper powder, sweet bean sauce, thirteen-spice powder, sugar.

Heat oil in a wok and stir-fry the spices until fragrant.

Add chicken drumsticks and feet, stir-fry evenly until browned.

Add sauce

Stir-fry evenly until colored

Add water

While the stew is simmering, prepare the side dishes. You can add whatever you like! Cut the corn into small pieces.

Pumpkin, you can cut it into thicker slices; mine was a bit small and difficult to cut into thin slices.

Cut potatoes into small pieces and soak them in water to prevent oxidation.

The rice cake separated into individual pieces after soaking in water.

Simmer for ten minutes

Add side dishes

Stir it over.

Add the rice cakes just before it's fully cooked and simmer for a few more minutes.

Ke Xiang

Turn off the heat after simmering until tender.
