Steps for making homemade pickled fish

Separate the fish meat from the bones, wash thoroughly several times, drain, and add ginger, scallions, pepper, salt, and a little beer. Stir until it becomes a sticky paste. Pour in cornstarch or a fish marinade packet and stir well again. If available, you can also add one or two egg whites. Marinate for 10-15 minutes. If you want side dishes, you can prepare some bean sprouts, green vegetables, etc. at this time!

Heat the wok and add lard

Add the fish bones and cook for three to five minutes, then flip and fry until both sides are golden brown. Set aside.

Heat oil in a pan, add scallions, ginger, garlic, pickled cabbage, chili peppers, and fermented bean paste, and stir-fry evenly.

Pour in boiling water and the pickled cabbage fish seasoning packet. Once it bubbles, add the fried fish bones and cook for 5-10 minutes.

Turn off the heat and remove the fish bones and pickled cabbage. Add the fish fillets and stir-fry evenly. Turn the heat back on and heat for 1-3 minutes.

Turn off the heat and remove from the pan. Your homemade pickled fish is ready!
